Our Board of Directors

We have a passionate nine member Board of Directors striving to change the way our world views gender based violence and abuse. Our approach to Board development has been very systematic as we identified 21 characteristics/talents/specialties we wanted on our Board and have systematically sought members to fill a unique need.  We will grow our board to a size of approximately 12 members over the next two years.  

Brooke Jones

Brooke Jones,  MAEd, Director, CEO, Founder –  Brooke is an activist, entrepreneur and is wildly Christian.  She is passionate to provide solutions for survivors of abuse around the world. Brooke is a beloved wife, mother and friend. Brooke earned her Master’s degree in Education and has a BS in Managerial Entrepreneurship.  As a survivor of domestic abuse she knows firsthand that true healing finally occurs when you accept God into your life and allow his love to fill in the empty spaces. She wakes up every day dedicated to finding a way to make home a safe place to be.

Rick Jones, Director, President  –  Rick brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and talent to the Board.   He has almost forty years of retail knowledge and digital retail experience and his business, Soulful Creations donates 50% of all profits to programs helping women and children impacted by violence and abuse.  He has a heart for the Lord and loves to serve his community and give to others.  Rick has a talent for identifying the gifting in an individual and to coaching them to achieve greater heights than they could imagine on their own.  Rick has spent years linking corporate business to create and support community programs in large scales.

Becky Turner, Director -  Becky Turner is the Managing Partner of The Barnabas Group Dallas – Fort Worth.  Becky is also the Managing Partner for The Barnabas Group Houston.  The Lord has done an amazing work as bit by bit and inch-by-inch he has delivered, transformed and renewed Becky to become the woman of God she is today. Becky has been blessed to minister around the world and experience God’s work in the villages of Africa, the high-rise apartments of Moscow, India as well as the streets of downtown Atlanta and Houston. In addition to Barnabas she consults non-profits on fundraising strategies and donor development. 

Paula

Paula M. Witt, Ed.D., Director, Secretary – Dr. Paula Witt received her doctorate in Education in 1985 and her doctoral thesis addressed the need for a core curriculum was highly acclaimed and used by local and state agencies. Dr. Witt also received her Bachelors and Masters degrees with an emphasis in business marketing and management.  While completing her masters, she was instrumental in getting the first women in business course for the School of business. Dr. Witt has taught in a broad area of subjects as well as numerous platforms. While teaching for over 20 years at the college level she received numerous awards to include the Bedicheck Outstanding Teacher Performance, HCCS Outstanding Teacher, and Texas Business Education Association Teacher of the Year. Dr. Witt taught in a variety of curricula areas to include medical, legal, business and computer programs. Dr. Witt has served on numerous advisory boards for business training at the post-secondary level.  She is active in developing methods and strategies to assist women to enter the workplace.

Sherri Tuttle, Director – Sherri is passionate about her God and her family. Losing her own mom to cancer when she was 12 years old significantly shaped her life.  From that moment, Sherri decided to trust God completely and endlessly. She discovered the greatness of God through her loss. Sherri lists her greatest accomplishments as living life with her best friend and husband, Charlie and being Mom to Gentry, Weston and Payton. Sherri is an ovarian cancer survivor; she was first diagnosed in 2005. Sherri graduated from Central Bible College in Springfield, Mo. with a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education and Missions.

Jon Lee, Director -  Jon Lee brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in brand management to the Stronger than Espresso Board. Jon is a principle at The Richards Group and advises clients on how to manage overall client relationships, develop and implement marketing strategy, and manage annual budgets. Jon is a sought after speaker for nonprofit marketing conferences across the country, developed strategic partnerships with advertising agencies in China and India, trained thousands of nonprofit employees on various marketing topics.

Trevor Ford, Director -Trevor has brings a well versed skill set and entrepreneurial expertise to the Board. He has over 40+ experience in various fields and business ventures. Professionally and personally, Trevor is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), Past President of the Lubbock Texas Chapter of Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), previous member of American Institute of Architects (AIA), worked on Disaster Relief Teams for the Texas Society of Architects (TSA) in tornado and storm damaged areas, served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Lubbock Rotary Club, served on numerous committees in the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, is a member Genesis Church in McKinney, TX. Trevor and Susan are blessed with six children and five grandchildren.

Cheryl Reccord is President/CEO of Total Life Impact, Inc. She is also a respected Life-Coach, author and speaker.

After committing her life to raising three amazing kids, she’s launched them out of the nest and given them their wings and has discovered the joy of grandchildren! Now Cheryl is putting those valuable life skills to work in new ways, and she’s surprised how much demand there is for a woman with ideas and insights to share with others. Some of those insights are included in her book, Launching Your Kids for Life Launching Your Kids for Life ( W Publishing Group, 2005), co-authored with her husband, Bob

A native of Michigan, she followed her passion as a pianist to Indiana University. There she found that music was only part of God’s plan for her life. She discovered the difference between a religion – and a relationship with the One who would lead and inspire her forever. She also met her future husband. They married and entered vocational ministry. Along came graduate school, children and the challenge of greater pastoral responsibilities, interspersed with years in the secular workplace and para-church ministries. The Reccords’ life together has been a great teacher, and Cheryl has learned well from her experiences. She’s gained in wisdom. And now, she mentors other women, wives and mothers – meeting with them one-on-one, in groups or by speaking at conferences and women’s events.

Believing that every life is made to count by God to impact our world, Cheryl serves on the board of directors for Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center of Atlanta, strategically positioned in the inner city of Atlanta.

Sheila Steinmark is the principal owner of Marketing Operations Group, LLC (MOG). Marketing Operations Group (MOG) is a marketing consulting team focused on operations and logistics to increase consumer interactions. 

One size offering doesn't fit all brands. Sheila provides strategic plans to small and medium sized businesses through consulting as a Fractional CMO. Sheila and her team provide freelance consulting and full turnkey programs to larger agencies and brands.

Sheila doesn't pretend to be all things to all brands; Sheila is at her best when she is consulting, strategizing and planning. Leading a team of marketing operations experts who come from many disciplines and industries to provide experience, best practices and solutions. MOG is changing the marketing industry one program at a time. Our work with brands and agencies allows them to gain desired reach by optimizing limited resources using non-traditional and experiential marketing. 

As a marketing operations leader and innovator, Sheila has produced complex and highly recognized marketing initiatives from development through implementation. With 20+ years in the agency arena, she has positioned her clients as global leaders by driving sales with creative and operational teams and building key relationships that support corporate goals. 

As a retired-Army veteran, Sheila possesses a unique skill set in operations, logistics, leadership, and problem solving. Her combination of operational and management skills have allowed her to repurpose them to drive large-scale event marketing programs, product sampling, social media, pop-up retail, trade shows, and brand building that exceed business objectives.
